Comcast opened Xfinity WiFi Hotspots in Northern California on 13th October 2017 to all its users. It is to help out residents and personnel to stay connected during an event of wildfire.
Throughout Sonoma and Napa counties, ungated access is made available with “xifinityWiFi” SSID. The subscribers of Comcast Internet can stay connected on varied hotspots by signing in with their usual credentials.
For non-subscribers, Comcast has provided a facility to pick up “xfinityWiFi” network from the available list of hotspots. After that, they have to launch a browser and on the sign-in page, have to locate the section “Not an XFINITY Internet customer” to get started.
