The current version of the app, however, has a hamburger menu style that must be tapped for navigating the slide-out menu.

Not only would the new UI design make it easy to access your downloads, but also allow the users to find out what’s coming soon. Apart from this, the streaming platform has also placed the search icon to the bottom from the upper-right section. Moreover, the new search icon is going to be bigger in size than the older version.

In 2017, the company made several changes in the server-side UI design to get rid of the slide-out menu. Though the feature wasn’t officially released to all users, random users, whom the company wanted to install the update, got this feature for installation on their device. Now all the stuffs that users could find in the slide-out menu are available in the navigation bar placed at the bottom of the app, and there is no hamburger menu. All the pages, Home, Coming Soon, Search, Downloads and so forth are now accessible from the new navigation bar.

The refreshed UI of the Netflix app seems to have removed some clutter from the app, making it more user friendly and organized. So, it can be considered as a nice overall UI improvement. This refreshed design of the app could make the navigation easier and quicker.
