How to physically connect Netgear router?

  • To obtain the IP address currently used by your device or PC, click on “Attached Devices” under “Maintenance” menu.Now, take a paper and note down the IP address (for example 192.168.1.x) that your device is presently using.
  • Now, click on “LAN Setup” under “Advanced” option.
  • Next, click on “Add” available under “Address Reservation.”
  • Enter the IP address (for example: 192.168.1.x), and then enter the device’s MAC address. Also, provide a name for your device in the required field.
  • Finally, click on “Add” and the information will be saved.

For “NETGEAR genie” router interface:

  • Firstly, log in to the router.
  • To obtain the IP address of your device or PC, click on “Attached Devices” located under “BASIC” tab. Now, take a paper and note down the device’s IP address (for example 192.168.1.x) that your device is presently using.
