If you haven’t log into your Comcast account in recent times, there are chances that your account may be  inactive. Comcast has this policy which disable a Comcast email account if the user has not sign in to the email account. On the basis of your activity, you can have the following three account statuses or quick call for support.

  • Active – If you have used your account in past 12 months, it will be considered as active. You can also make your account stay active if you have enable the auto-forwarding feature.
  • Inactive – When you haven’t sign into your email account in the last 12 months.
  • Reserved – You will receive the Reserved status when you haven’t set up your email account. It may also shown as Reserved when your account’s content have been deleted due to inactivity.

How To Check Your Comcast Email Account Status

Follow these steps if you want to check your Comcast email account status:

  • Log into your Xfinity My Account with your Xfinity username and password.
  • After the sign in, click on the Services options from the navigation tab.
  • Go to Additional Features tab.
  • If your Comcast account is active, you will not find any status below the Additional Features.
  • If your account is inactive, you will find, ‘You haven’t used your Comcast email account in the past 12 months. Your email account, inbox, and folders may be deleted’ status message.
  • If your account is Reserved, you will find, ‘You haven’t set up your Comcast email account yet’ status message.

How To Check Your Comcast Email Account Status For Primary User 

To check the status of a Comcast email account if you are a primary user, follow these steps:

  • Log into your Xfinity My Account with your Xfinity username and password.
  • After the sign in, click on the Users options from the navigation tab.
  • Click on the username whose status you will like to see.
  • Go to the Contact Information section.
  • If your Comcast account of the user is active, you will not find any status.
  • If the Comcast email account of the user is inactive, you will find, ‘This user hasn’t used their Comcast email in the past 12 months. This email account, inbox, and folders may be deleted’ status.
  • If the Comcast email account of the user is Reserved, you will find, ‘A Comcast email account hasn’t been set up for this user yet’ status.

How To Reactivate A Comcast Email Account

An inactive Comcast email account can easily reactivated by signing into the email account. You can activate your Comcast email account by signing into the following:

  • Xfinity Connect webmail
  • Xfinity Connect mobile app
  • Third-party email software

How to  Create an Email for a Comcast Reserved Account?

You can easily change your Reserved status to Active by making an email account. Follow these steps to make your account:

  • Start a browser and open the Xfinity.com site.
  • Click on mail icon on the screen.
  • Enter your Xfinity credentials.
  • When you make a sign in with your Xfinity details, you account will be active.
  • You can also use Xfinity My Account app or any third party mail app for sign in.
