How To Add Your Personal Email Address With Xfinity?

If you wish to receive Xfinity email notifications on your personal email, you can do so by adding your personal email account. Follow these steps to add your personal email with Xfinity:

  • Make sure you have active internet connection on the device you are using.
  • Log into your Xfinity account.
  • Click on the Users Tab which you can find on the top of your page.
  • If you already have multiple users for your Xfinity account, select the user in which you want to add your personal email id.
  • Go to ‘Personal Contact Information’ feature of the user you have selected.
  • Go to ‘Additional Email’ box and click on Edit.
  • On the prompt screen, write your personal email address. Re-enter it again and click Add Email.
  • You will get a verification mail on your personal email. When you verify the email, your personal email ID will be linked to your Xfinity account.

Xfinity And Comcast Email Settings: Outlook 2013 And Outlook 2016

You can use your Xfinity and Comcast email on outlook but you have to make some settings in order to use your account. It might take some time so make sure your device has sufficient battery. Follow these steps to perform Xfinity and Comcast email settings outlook:

  • Start your device and run Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016 on it.
  • Click on File and select Account Settings.
  • Click on New and go to Email Account button. Click Next.
  • Opt for Manual Setup Or Additional Server Types. Click Next.
  • Click on POP or IMAP and click Next.
  • On the form page, write your name in the Name box and your email address on the Email box. Make sure you write the complete and correct email address.
  • In the Account Type, select IMAP.
  • Write imap.comcast.net in Incoming mail server box.
  • Write smtp.comcast.net in Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box.
  • Your Xfinity username will automatically come into the Username field. Make sure it is correct.
  • Write your password into the password box and click on More Settings.
  • Click on Outgoing Server from the tab. 
  • Opt for the box containing ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ option.
  • Opt for ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’
  • Click on ‘Advanced’ tab. Write 993 in the ‘Incoming server (IMAP)’ box.
  • Write ‘SSL’ in ‘Use the following type of encrypted connection’ box.
  • In Outgoing server (SMTP) box, write 587.
  • Click on the drop-down box of ‘Use the following type of encrypted connection’ and opt for TLS. Click OK.
  • As soon as you click on Next, your Xfinity account will be configured with Outlook. Click on Close and then on Finish to complete the setup.
